Carl Carlton and Melanie Wiegmann Delight with Summer Hit “Little Rainbow”

A Preview of Their New Album Featuring Musical Legends!

Carl Carlton and Melanie Wiegmann are back with new music! On July 12th, the single “Little Rainbow” will be released for download and streaming on all available platforms.

After the successful release of their album “Glory of Love”, which made it into the top 50 of the official album charts, and the fantastically reviewed and enthusiastically received tour through Germany together with their “THE GREAT BAND” in autumn/winter 2023, the musical duo is now working on a new album.

As the production has yet to be finalised, Melanie and Carl are taking the opportunity to welcome the fans and the summer with a new track! “Little Rainbow” presents itself in a radiant summery caribbean guisewith a “Bob Marley one-drop groove”. The optimistic lyrics harbour a spiritual, hopeful wish for love, respect and understanding, on the way out of loneliness in a cold, arrogant, empathy-less world.

The authors of the song are – in addition to Carl Carlton – some other well-known music greats! Including Carl’s long-time friend and colleague Chris Thompson, known as the singer of the great Manfred Manns Earthband hits “Blinded by the light”, “Mighty Quinn” and as the composer of other world successes such as John Farnham’s “You’re the voice” and “No stoppin’ us now” by the Doobie Brothers. The third member of this illustrious group of composers is the musician and singer Andy Fairweather Low, known for his success with the British band Amen Corner and his songs “If Paradise is half as nice” and “Bend me shape me”, among others. As a guitarist, Andy has also been a member of Eric Clapton’s band for decades.

With “Little Rainbow”, Carl Carlton and Melanie Wiegmann continue their musical journey and offer fans a hopeful, funky anthem for the summer, which is characterised by the influences of important music greats and gives a first taste of their upcoming album.
